Of The Land reflects our connection to the earth beneath us. It honors roots and soil. Origins and ancestry. It's an invitation to reflect upon who we are at the core. At the end of the day, after all the boxes we put ourselves in, we all belong in the earth.

It's an honor to paint this piece. Painting lions has always been a humbling experience. Come to think of it, I've only painted them a handful of times and I need to change that! I feel this natural reverence whenever I paint one. It's as if I'm honoring their title, the King of the Jungle.
